The turn by turn is great, but its a deal breaker that they took the ETA function away. The old version used to give estimated ETAs for leaving at a variety of times. Thats totally gone now.

Like others have said, they stopped showing alternate routes on the map, which I loved. But whats worse, it has now forgotten how to get to my work which it used to know perfectly. Ive used it every day since the update and it still hasnt learned what it used to know! April 29 "bug fix" didnt fix this.

Simply put, the new update killed it. This used to be a great app, but ever since the update, my phones battery has been dying very quickly and its been hot to the touch. I checked battery usage and this app is now at 40%! I dont even use the app all that much, its just constantly cranking away in the background now. I changed the location to "only when using." If that doesnt fix the problem, Ill just delete the app.

Traffic functionality is still pretty useful but dont rely on the turn by turn directions.

Update for the mini update to the version 6 big whoopdee doo. This minor update did nothing to address most of the issues that we long term users have raised. Still a 1 star because we cant rate it any lower than that. The following is my review of the big fat mess they released as version 6. Like so many other reviewers I use a nav app every day on my commute. I have been a user, an evangelist and a huge fan of Inrix for years. When I heard the app was heading for a major upgrade I was very apprehensive. I expressed this concern to a support person and he assured me that Inrix was NOT going to be more like Waze. I am not going to say he lied because he was likely just spewing the party line but he was WRONG! I was so disappointed in this upgrade right from the start. I told myself to settle down and embrace the change. Maybe it will become familiar and you will love it. Just because its different doesnt mean its bad. I WAS WRONG!!! The old version had a no nonsense get down to business interface which I loved! After all if we wanted a cartoonish interface I could have just used Waze. I do like being able to switch into turn-by-turn mode especially in an unfamiliar area. However, the sacrifice for this capability is way too high. The map mode is sad and pathetic. In the previous version you could see at a glance which route had the various traffic issues and how severe they were with a quick glance. The new version has made deciding which way to go a much more dangerous task. Unless you just let the app have full control of you and stay in turn-by-turn mode. This will NOT get you to your destination in the shortest amount of time! I am so disappointed in the abject failure of this new interface. I will now be exploring other apps to do the job of keeping me on course. I will even give Waze another try. If I have to have a goofball interface I may as well go to the company that has so much experience in this area. Inrix, LISTEN TO US AND FIX THIS OR WE WILL ALL BAIL OUT!!!!

Very cool app. It actually shows live traffic in my area so I can find the best roads to take. Never going back to the other nav apps..I’m talking about you, Google!

After installation, even in the background, this was using 3x more battery than any other app. I had to delete it to keep from killing my battery every day even though I was not using it.

After the newest release the app is draining my battery and it isnt even running??? Needs some work

It was great! I loved this app. I’m too embarrassed to admit how much I paid for the premium membership. Then I got the update and it no longer knows me. No response to my complaint about not being able to sign in, so I guess they want more of my money. So much for a “forever” membership. I checked out the “questions” page—no answers at all. So ZERO customer support.

The app used to be fairly useful before the major update. Now it is no longer user friendly and horribly drains the battery (used 53% of mine somehow in past 24 hours). I am deleting it and will see in coming weeks whether theyve improved it or not.

Like others have said, its s battery killer. Used over 40% of my battery in the background. Had to delete.

Loved the old version and used it 2x daily. This new version (Google powered it appears) is a bummer. The new issues: 1. Its killing my battery. Quitting the app isnt enough; the phone has to be rebooted to stop the drain. 2. The new Alert icons are pretty, but too big and sit right on top of the road data. 3. No North-up lock. I zoom in/out with two fingers, which allows me to scan the map at the same time. The lack of north-up lock means Im spinning the map all over the place (behaves like google maps). Please go back! Ill be looking for something else on the meantime.

Ive been using this app for 4 years now and it has never failed me! Its super easy to use and its accurate.... I know some of these other reviews are low and you should not let that influence you on this app, try it yourself... Happy Travels

I used this app for the alerts of drive time to work or home. Since the 6.0 update, its been broken. Support keeps saying itll be fixed but the last update of 6.1 broke it even more. Its super cluttered and hard to use now.

Draining battery and it still hasnt learned my route. They should not have messed with a good thing.

I like this app so much I paid for a subscription , then update the app and lost what I loved about this app. My iPad has the old version so I can use that to see more than one route and to pick the time I want to leave and see how long any route will take. It makes zero sense that you wrecked the best traffic app. Im going back to Waze as at least there I can get more than one route and Im not routed thru accidents and traffic. I wish I could get my money back!!!!!! Horrible what youve done to a great app

My battery was dropping unusually fast. When I checked settings this has used 57% of my battery over the last week. (Since the most recent update.) Avoid at all costs!

They ruined this previously great app

I used to use this app twice a day on my commute. It accurately predicted within a few minutes when I would arrive, which was extremely helpful to communicate to my boss and my wife. However, with this latest update I must concur with others that this app is a waste of energy. Example: on Wednesday,I clicked on the app and put it on my dashboard as I always do. It said my commute would only be 21 minutes and that it was smooth sailing, designated by green, for my route. Unusual for Washington DC in the middle of the week. In fact, it took me one hour and 45 minutes to get to work. I am in digital marketing and it makes me wonder how they could bring this update to market without thoroughly testing, risking the loss of loyal, premium users like me. Oh yeah, that reminds me. The app did not remember my premium saved places. Unreal.

This app has worked very well for a very long time. I have been a long time loyal fan and user, but this last update is ridiculous. It is killing the battery as if that were its purpose in life. Coders please fix before your loyal base looks elsewhere.
