Pros and cons of INRIX Traffic app for iPhone and iPad

INRIX Traffic app good for

Very handy in traffic situations and trying to decide an ETA to a destination.

I love the automated notice that informs me how to get home quickly after a long day at work.

Fantastic app! Really helps you plan your departure times based on known traffic patterns and current incidents.

Lets get turn by turn voice navigation added and then you will have the ultimate navigation

Its awesome! Dont have to spend $hundreds for other GPS units.

Great app. To show me traffic information, refreshing every 2 minutes, allow me to pick right time for my trip. Use it everyday. Now I carpool and I am able to check current traffic and choose the right way to save me 5 to 10 minutes.

Some bad moments

I liked Inrix because it wasnt as visually cluttered as Waze. Now its just as busy! Cant see the highways because all the surrounding streets are lit up. Would be better to let the user control the street traffic they see at different zoom levels. Might have to try Waze again. :(

Really was good at the time it came out, but now pales in comparison to Google Maps that has traffic routing for navigation. I found this version was killing my iPhone battery (48%) of usage. I had wondered what was going on, and I had not used this app in a long time, but when I checked my battery usage this was the culprit. Anyhow, app is OK particularly if they fix battery issue, but there are better alternatives for traffic.

I had Inrix since to beginning and it was one of most usefull app in IOS with this awesome estimation graphics to show when traffic was as his peak. Unfortunately over the year they change their direction and now it is just a simple boring MAPS/Navigation with a high price tag that just drain your battery. In hope that version 7.0 will bring back what Inrix was all about. Anyone have suggestion for Inrix alternative?

Loved this app until recent updates. Now killing my battery (using 35% battery 7 day average), and where did the Best Time to Leave feature go?? Emailed for help and no response after 2 weeks :( Uninstalled until this is fixed

Used to be a great functional app. Now it is so tricked up that it is useless. It wont update your time of arrival as you navigate your route. It rarely gives alternate routes. Awful Update. Im not sure where youre getting your traffic, but it is 100% wrong

Absolutely terrible. Was a loyal user for years, but Ive gotten sick of their lazy developments. They are consistently never ready for major iOS releases. App tanked at the releases of iOS 8,9&10 each year. Thats just awful planning. This time, when they finally got around to updating it the app still was full of persistent bugs, such as constantly returning me to log in, over and over. Not what you want to do when you get in your car to drive. Anyway, their incompetence sent me back to Waze which has improved tremendously and does a far superior job of navigating through congestion - as well it just works.
