Battery drain and cluttered

Loved the old version and used it 2x daily. This new version (Google powered it appears) is a bummer. The new issues:

1. Its killing my battery. Quitting the app isnt enough; the phone has to be rebooted to stop the drain.
2. The new Alert icons are pretty, but too big and sit right on top of the road data.
3. No North-up lock. I zoom in/out with two fingers, which allows me to scan the map at the same time. The lack of north-up lock means Im spinning the map all over the place (behaves like google maps).

Please go back! Ill be looking for something else on the meantime.
